Did you ever think about taking a plane to go to Rimouski for a convention or a business appointment?
Besides saving time (2 hours by plane vs 5 hours by car), it’s almost cheaper than the travelling expenses based on a km rate. Even better, you can travel without the worry of the road, you will be fresh and available for your activity!
This option is even easier since Air Canada added two daily flights between Montreal and Mont-Joli, 30 km from Rimouski.
The morning flight from international airport Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau at 8 h with a layover at Baie-Comeau, arrives at Mont-Joli at 10 h 15. Another flight, without a layover, leaves Montreal at 15h55 for an arrival at 17h30 in Mont-Joli.
On an environmental point of view, even if a car is usually less pollutant than an airplane, at a societal level, the road stays more pollutant because of the high volume of cars. Keep that in mind!
