Different generations of meeting planners have specific preferences and are highlighted in a recent survey by the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC). Generation Y buyers place a greater importance on the technology capabilities of a venue, with Baby Boomers placing location at the top of the list. Baby Boomers are more cost conscious than Gen X and Y when selecting a conference venue. Don’t bother trying to reach Gen X or Y with a phone call; digital information is the way to get information in front of these buyers, especially presented in a novel virtual way.
