The management of Hôtel des Seigneurs in Saint-Hyacinthe wants to assure its guests and partners that the hotel is continuing to operate despite a labour dispute at the facility.
“Thanks to the dedication of our managerial staff, we have been able to present more than 150 events, such as conventions, meetings, weddings, training sessions and others since the dispute began on October 27,” said Denis Gilles, General Manager. These events included a conference with more than 1,500 participants, a banquet, use of 33 meeting rooms and more than 500 overnight stays. In addition, the hotel welcomed an exhibition that attracted more than 7,200 visitors, with more than 700 overnight stays.
“We’re very proud of the commitment and dedication shown by our managers and have received nothing but positive comments from our customers during the labour dispute,” Gilles added. “And on behalf of the anagement of Hôtel des Seigneurs de Saint-Hyacinthe, I thank our customers for their understanding and apologize for any inconvenience caused by this situation.”
Guests can continue to reserve rooms and meeting rooms for events and banquets as they have in the past. However, the labour dispute has affected operations at the restaurants, which are closed except for groups who request them. The sauna and spa are not available, but the pool and fitness centre are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Hôtel des Seigneurs respects the right of its employees to express their opinion in a peaceful, legal manner, and management is negotiating in good faith. A negotiation meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 23.
