New Website for Tourisme Alma Lac-Saint-Jean

6 January 2020

Tourisme Alma Lac-St-Jean, a division of CIDAL, and the Lac-St-Jean Convention Office have announced the launch of a new website to provide user-friendly experiences better suited to the needs of business and leisure customers.

The website, tourismealma.com, offers a sleek design incorporating the new brand image of the tourism and convention office. The more sober interface presents the information in a more colourful and attractive way. The fantastic experiences found in the tourism sector of MRC Lac-St-Jean-Est are presented by theme and imbued with the Québec Original brand. New this year, visitors have access to dynamic and personalized content through a blog. Tourism players participate in the writing of articles by sharing their favourite activities.

Virginie Brisson, Senior Coordinator at Alma Lac-St-Jean Tourism, said: “We paid particular attention to the navigation aspect to make it easier to see the information customers are looking for. Given that 65% of leisure travellers are inspired by online sources, we have also prioritized web content that strengthens the natural referencing of our site and promotes social sharing.”

LAC-ST-JEAN CONVENTION BUREAU

The website has a new section dedicated to business tourism. It includes more than 1,000 rooms and 125 event venues, including 3 convention centres in the cities of Alma, Roberval and Saint-Félicien. This section has a search engine offering several options, such as search by location type, number of rooms or room capacity. To facilitate event planning for organizers who live outside the region, planning tools and online virtual tours are available. This section has its own business domain name (congreslacstjean.com).
